If you’re in the market for a house that looks like it used to be owned by a serial killer, this Connecticut home is the place for you.
In the cozy suburban neighborhood of Avon in Hartford County, you’ll find what some are calling the “horror house,” which you can buy for $339,900. The sellers happen to be artists, so you’d think the place would be filled with beautiful imagery, but that isn’t exactly the case.
Sure, the view from the outside is great. As soon as you step through its doors, however, you’re greeted with a completely unexpected scene.
Strange blood-colored designs are only one feature of the house’s creepy decor.
You can’t help but feel a little uneasy when you see all the bizarre artistic choices that the sellers made before putting the house on the market.
It has only had one interested buyer in the last 30 days, which isn’t very surprising.
But the listing agents are still hopeful that someone will fall in love with it and appreciate all its strangeness.
I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who suspects that the place might be haunted.
Even the outdoor gazebo gives off an unsettling vibe with its uneven wood and fishnet covering.
While it definitely isn’t anywhere close to my taste, I have to admit that however off-putting the inside is, the sellers clearly put a lot of work into it.
I think we can all agree that it certainly is “a fascinating home,” as the Zillow listing describes it.
Personally, it looks like the set of a 1970s horror movie to me.
